Stephen Straker Straker Insurance I was born in Kilgore, Texas and raised in the Heights of Houston. My wife and I moved to Greenville, Texas for a brief period and then returned home. I then attended Texas A&M Fire School in 1988. I have been married to my wife Debra for over 27 years and we have 5 children. We have lived in Sealy since 1996. We are members of The All Around Cowboy Church. I worked for the Sugar Land Fire Department for a little over 21 years and retired June 30, 2009. Like many other fire fighters, I had a second job of commercial and residential construction and I own Wilderness Homes still today. I have moved a lot of that business into real estate investing. As of August 1, 2009, I took ownership of the Farmers Insurance Agency from George Fogle. I moved the agency back to Meyer St. next to the office were Adrian Kutra originally started the business more that 22 years ago. Debbie Melton who has been with the agency for more than 14 years is still assisting with the daily operations. I have recently been placed on the board of the Sealy Chamber of Commerce to begin service in February 2010. I look forward to meeting as many people as possible and hope to serve well as a new business member of the community.
